This policy explains what personal information BytGlen collects when you use www.bytglen.com or contact us, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose. If anything is unclear, email info@bytglen.com.
Who we are
BytGlen (“BytGlen”, “we”, “us”) is an IT and creative technology company with studios in Kochi, Kerala and Bangalore, Karnataka, India. For the personal data described here we are the Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (and the “controller” for visitors covered by the UK or EU GDPR).

What we collect
Information you give us
- Start-a-project form: project type, name, email address, phone number with country code (optional), location, address (optional) and your message.
- “Notify me” requests on pages that are coming soon: your email address.
- Emails, WhatsApp messages and calls you send us, and anything you choose to include in them.
Please don’t send us sensitive information (health, financial account or government ID details) through the website — we don’t need it to reply to an enquiry.
Information collected automatically
- Visit statistics (Vercel Web Analytics): pages viewed, the site that referred you, country, and device, browser and operating system type. It does not use cookies, and it reports visits in aggregate rather than building a profile of you.
- Performance data (Vercel Speed Insights): page-speed measurements such as load time and layout stability, with device and connection type, so we can keep the site fast.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser user-agent and the pages requested in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Cookies and browser storage
We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site stores a few small items in your own browser so it works smoothly:
- Session storage remembers, for the current visit only, that you have already seen the opening animation and that a page transition is in progress, so pages flow smoothly.
- A service worker cache keeps a copy of our offline page, so you see a helpful message instead of a browser error if your connection drops.
You can clear both at any time in your browser settings; the site will still work.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry, discuss your project and prepare a proposal or quote.
- To deliver and support the services you engage us for.
- To let you know when a page you asked about goes live (only if you asked).
- To understand how the site is used and to keep it fast, secure and working.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t add you to marketing emails unless you ask us to.
Why we’re allowed to use it
When you submit a form or message us, you give us your consent to use those details to respond — you can withdraw it at any time (see Your rights). We also process data for legitimate uses permitted by law, such as keeping the site secure and meeting legal obligations. For visitors in the UK or EU, our legal bases are consent, taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interests in running and improving our website.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the website and reply to you, and only as much as they need:
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting, Web Analytics and Speed Insights.
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) — relays the details you send with “Send message” or “Notify me” to our inbox.
- Our email and messaging providers — to receive and answer your messages.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you choose “Send on WhatsApp” or message us there; WhatsApp’s own privacy policy then applies to that conversation.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to a successor if our business is reorganised or sold.
International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside India — for example in the United States or the European Union. Where that happens we rely on providers with recognised security and data-protection commitments, and on the safeguards the law requires.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t become projects: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client records: for the length of our engagement and afterwards for as long as tax, accounting and contract law requires.
- “Notify me” emails: until we’ve told you the page is live, or until you ask us to remove you.
- Visit statistics: kept in aggregate form, which doesn’t identify you.
How we protect it
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS, access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it, and we use reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will act quickly if something goes wrong.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update it;
- erase it, or stop using it;
- withdraw consent you have given (this doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it);
- nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to (India);
- object to or restrict processing, or receive a copy of your data in a portable format (UK and EU).
Email info@bytglen.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you’re unhappy with our response you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or, in the UK or EU, to your local data-protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
Children
Our website and services are meant for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
Other websites
Our portfolio links to client websites and to our social profiles. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn’t cover.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page when our practices change and revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
Contact and grievances
For any privacy question, request or complaint, contact our grievance contact at info@bytglen.com or +91 96330 40238. We’ll acknowledge your message promptly and resolve it within the time the law requires.
